Digital Archiving of your Precious Memories and Memorabilia

Below is a sample of a MAJOR RESTORATION job. This photo had gotten wet, and was stuck to the glass in places. The wood frame had stained it, and there were also mold and mildew spots on it. The photo was so badly damaged in places that I literally had to "paint" in sections in a way that made sense with the rest of the photo.

The finished composite photo actually combined five different photos; the scarf, the two portraits and the two frames.
Sometimes a client wants something really special done to old photos. In this case, they wanted this couple united in a single photograph. I began by restoring each of the individual portraits (shown above). Then I photographed a silk scarf, put the portraits into some digital "frames", and tucked the framed pictures into the scarf. Adding some shadows gave the composite a little more depth. This is an example of MAJOR RESTORATION. Total cost $130

The photo shown at the right is an example of BASIC RESTORATION. This photo was in fairly good condition; it needed only some contrast and value adjustment and a slight amount of sharpening, and of course the removal of the yellow cast to make a good black and white image.

Cost for restoration: $15
